If you are looking for an alternative to the installed audio editing packages, this offer from Internet Co may interest you …
When it comes to audio editing software, most known solutions have existed for many years and are very mature applications. The same can be said about Sound It!, Released by Japanese developers Internet Co Ltd, but, most likely, now it is less known to Western studios. Can this change with version 8? The new version was set up for the English-speaking market, and the company clearly intends to expand the coverage of the product.
On paper, the feature set looks promising, and with an impressive set of plug-ins and an intriguing option to support native DXD / DSD sound (with the right audio equipment), it has features that may well like both new and editing audio and those working in the more niche, high-precision environments.

On the project paper, the feature set looks promising, and with an impressive set of plug-ins and an intriguing option for supporting the native DXD / DSD sound (with the appropriate sound equipment), it has functions that may well appeal to both beginning sound engineers and those who work in more niche, high-precision environments.
SI8P has a solid set of basic sound editing functions. These include typical parameters for editing files, converting audio formats, a wide range of plug-ins (covering equalizer, dynamics, spatial effects, modulation and processing methods), basic automation, useful measurement tools, batch processing, well-designed CD creation, the ability to create files Acid and, as mentioned earlier, supporting the processing of DSD files and PCM (DXD) files with high resolution. Exactly what you can do with these more professional audio formats depends on the specification of any audio interface that you can have, but, nevertheless, DSD support is a rarity among the major audio editors.
The SI8P graphical user interface is pretty conditional, with a basic menu and toolbar bars that provide easy access to many key file management and editing tools. The display is based on transport controls that include a wheel and four additional buttons for accessing effects, a mixer, a timer for creating synchronized audio recordings and a media browser. All these functions are kept compact enough so that the central part of the display can place floating windows for your open audio files.
Overall, Sound It! 8 Pro is a very competent audio editing environment for mono and stereo audio, with a good set of editing functions for most common editing tasks, as well as useful (and convenient) CD burning capabilities and an impressive set of Plug-ins plug-ins. As for competition, SI8P is somewhere between Wavelab Elements and Sound Forge Pro both for price and performance. This may mean that it occupies an obvious niche in the current market.
